| TimeClock Manager - Payroll Export |
TimeClock Plus includes the ability to export hours and other fields of
information to a file that, depending on the format, may be viewed in another
application such as Microsoft Excel or imported into a payroll application such
as QuickBooks. Once configured, the process of exporting can be as simple as
selecting the dates you wish to export and clicking Process to begin exporting
your hours.
In a world where time is often against us, the ability to quickly move hours from
a time and attendance system to a payroll package is extremely important.
TimeClock Plus offers export modules to do just that. Each module is written to
the specifications of different payroll applications, allowing you to export
hours to a file, which can then be imported into payroll.
By default, an export will include every employee that the user performing the
export has access to, but if a user wishes to export hours for a single employee
or a select group then a Criteria option is available for that. There is also an
option to sort the employees in one of many possible ways (such as by employee
number, last name, or department). Many of the export formats will export the
total hours for each employee or, if enabled, break the hours down by the job
code being worked or by the hourly rate being earned.
In TimeClock Plus 6.0, a module is available to automatically export hours at a
scheduled day and time. Also in TimeClock Plus 6.0, there is a feature to save
an export. This means that a user can select an export format, configure it,
choose the employees he or she wishes to export, and then save all of those
settings to re-use later. For example, someone who wishes to export hours for
employees in one department can select that department with the Criteria option,
configure the export, and then save those settings.
