Data Management Ranks 29th as Texas’s Fastest Growing Technology Company in Deloitte
Texas Crescent Technology Fast 50 Program
Attributes great team work and flawless execution to its 416 Percent Revenue Growth
San Angelo, TX, September 10, 2004 — Data Management, Inc. (DMI) has been named
to Deloitte’s prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Texas, a ranking of the
50 fastest growing technology companies in the state by Deloitte & Touche USA
LLP. DMI was the only selection of the 50 companies from a city outside a major
metropolitan area. Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year
revenues over five years, from 1999–2003.
Data Management’s CEO Jorge R. Ellis, credits Christian principles and great teamwork
with the company’s 416 percent revenue growth from 1999–2003. “We have been blessed
with a great team of highly dedicated professionals and a powerful suite of quality
products; these together with a work environment and culture that promotes our Christian
belief, makes us successful,” said Ellis.
Data Management’s success over the past five years, earned a 29th ranking in the
Fast 50 for Texas. In a competition dominated by companies based in major cities
such as Houston, Austin, and Dallas-Ft. Worth, DMI’s presence in such an elite list
is remarkable. The average increase in revenues among companies who made the Fast
50 for this region was 1,124 percent.
To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues
of at least $50,000 in 1999 and $1,000,000 in 2003, must be public or private companies
headquartered in North America, and be a “technology company” defined as owning
proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s
operating revenues (using other companies’ technology in a unique way does not qualify);
and/or devoting a significant proportion of revenues to research and development
of technology.
Winners of the 19 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and
Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program, which
