Data Management, Inc. Ranked Once Again as One
of the Fastest Growing Tech Companies in North America
San Angelo Based Software Firm Named to Elite List of
Tech Companies for Third Consecutive Year
San Angelo, TX, Oct 19, 2006 — Data Management, Inc. (DMI) today announced that
it ranked number 425 on Deloitte’s 2006 Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500
fastest growing technology companies in all of North America. Rankings are based
on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 2001–2005. DMI grew 272 percent
during this period.
Data Management, Inc.’s CEO, Jorge R. Ellis, credits his workforce’s values and
their attitude of “always doing what is right and good”, with the company’s phenomenal
revenue growth rate over the past five years. He said, "As with any growing company,
it’s a struggle to hold on to the family atmosphere and the morals and values one
comes to enjoy in this kind of work environment. We are blessed in many ways – not
only in the people God sends to us, but also by His guidance which we ask for everyday”.
This is the third year DMI has been named to this prestigious list of technology
leaders. "Today’s digital world has eliminated those artificial boundaries that,
in the recent past, forced technology providers into the big cities," said DMI's
Vice President of Operations, Mark Moorman. "It’s really interesting to look at
the base of operations for other companies listed with us in the Fast 500. You see
all the traditional places where most expect a successful technology company to
come from -- San Jose, Austin, Seattle -- almost all are from major metro areas.
San Angelo is our corporate home and always will be," Moorman continued.
In addition to ranking on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500, Data Management, Inc.
ranked 45 on the 2006 Texas Technology Fast 50, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest
growing technology firms in Texas.
"Making Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 is commendable in today’s highly competitive
technology industry," said Tony Kern, deputy managing principal of Deloitte’s Technology,
Media & Telecommunications industry practice. "We congratulate Data Management,
Inc. on being one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America."
