Management Named 411th Fastest Growing Tech Company in North America in Fast
500 Ranking
Realized 416 Percent Revenue
Growth Over Five Years
San Angelo TX, Oct 20, 2004 — Data Management, Inc (DMI), makers of TimeClock
Plus™ time and attendance solutions, today announced its ranking as 411th on
the 2004 Deloitte North America Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500
fastest growing technology companies in North America. Rankings are based on
average percentage revenue growth over five years, from 1999-2003. Data
Management grew 416 percent during this period.
Data Management, Inc’s CEO, Jorge Ellis, credits
their Christian principles and teamwork with the company’s 416% revenue growth
over the past five years. “The growth we’ve experienced is a direct result of
God’s guidance of a group of dedicated people willing to work together”, says
Ellis.
The North America Technology Fast 500, founded in 1995, is a
program of Deloitte's
Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Group. The Fast 500
recognizes the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in the United States
and Canada.
Winners, selected from nominations and extensive research, are announced each
fall.
"We congratulate Data Management, Inc on becoming one of the 500
fastest growing technology companies in North America. Growing the top line
enough to make the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is especially meaningful during
tough economic times for the technology sector," said Mark A. Evans, national
managing partner of Deloitte’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications
Group.
“This list is historically dominated by technology companies
based in metro areas such as San Jose, Austin, New York and Seattle. DMI’s
presence in such an elite list is remarkable, but in reality using today’s
tools, we’ve situated DMI into a virtual metro area that reaches far
beyond West Texas”, says Mark Moorman, VP Operations. “Those pre-internet
boundaries no longer limit innovative thinking and extended commerce as they
did ten years ago, and I believe we’ll see more of this type of diversity
appear in Deloitte’s lists over the next few years. Either way, we're excited
about being recognized as a member of such an elite group of innovators, topped
this year by Google. With only 409 companies now between us and Google, we know
we're on the right track", continued Moorman.
Earlier this year, DMI earned a 29th ranking in
the Fast 50 for Texas, a list of the 50 fastest growing technology
companies in Texas.
Fast 500 Selection
and Qualifications
Winners are selected based on the percentage of growth in revenues from 1999 to
2003. To be considered, Fast 500 and Fast 50 entrants must have met the
following criteria:
-- 1999 operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD and $75,000
CD for the United States and Canada, respectively; and 2003 operating revenues
must be at least $1 million USD or CD.
-- Must be a public or private company headquartered in North America and must
have been in business a minimum of five years.
-- Must be a "technology company," defined as a company that owns proprietary
technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating
revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and
development of technology. Using other companies' technology in a unique way
